My son Aaron is 17 years old and has Down syndrome. He sat down with his acting coach (via video chat) and was interviewed about how he felt about COVID-19. I believe Aaron's story is significant now — as a diverse, often-not-heard voice of someone with an intellectual disability. Including Aaron’s story might help health professionals gain an insight into Aaron’s mind — and with insight comes compassion for those labelled as “vulnerable.”
